With the continuous development and application of technology, new information products are constantly emerging, reshaping people’s perspectives and needs regarding digital technology. This ongoing transformation has driven the current and future job markets to demand professionals who possess both digital technology and visual design expertise. Talents with interdisciplinary skills are not only highly irreplaceable but also hold a stronger competitive advantage in the future. In response to the urgent need for such professionals, the university has actively invested resources to cultivate talents required by present and future industries through more forward-thinking and open approaches. The establishment of the Department of Digital Technology Design marks the beginning of National Taipei University of Education’s commitment to nurturing interdisciplinary professionals. In August 2006, the university founded the Department of Digital Content Design to recruit high school graduates. Centered on theoretical courses in technology, information, and design, and complemented by solid practical and project-based courses, the program aims to equip students with strong interdisciplinary expertise in digital technology design. Graduates are conferred the degree of Bachelor of Design.

The department is equipped with a variety of hardware, including computer graphics workstations and Apple Mac computers.
